This winter, five lucky Madison County elementary school students from Chittenango and Cazenovia rang in the new year by winning prizes in FocalPoint’s winter coloring contest. Grand prizewinner MaryRose Giangiobbe, a third-grader from Cazenovia, took home a $50 Toys “R” Us gift certificate after winning first place out of 72 entries in FocalPoint’s winter coloring contest, which ran Nov. 24 through Dec. 11. Winners were chosen by in-branch vote at FocalPoint’s Chittenango branch, located at 278 Genesee St., from Dec. 14 through 18. Prizes for the winter coloring contest were awarded on Dec. 21, the first day of winter. Giangiobbe, along with four runners-up--Cazenovia fourth-graders, Lily Loveless and DJ Hopkins, Chittenango third-grader, Kaleb Rode, and Chittenango fourth-grader, Jacob Graham--also received $10 prizes to be placed into their FocalPoint Little Star Savers Club accounts. “All the entrants worked really hard,” said FocalPoint’s Chittenango Branch Manager Vicki Voutsinas, “and, from this event, we were able to establish three new Little Star Savers Club accounts, which we hope will reinforce good financial habits that these kids can carry throughout their lives.” About FocalPoint A full-service, not-for-profit financial institution, FocalPoint Federal Credit Union has committed itself to serving members from its partner companies since 1957.
